This section provides a quick, service-level overview of cloud spend, highlighting recent usage, trends, and optimization opportunities for individual services like S3, EC2, and others.

The summary presents key cost metrics for the selected service, including monthly spend, forecasted cost, and top cost contributors, enabling faster decision-making without deep navigation.

Service Wise Cost Summary

What You See​

  • Monthly Cost Cards
    Displays spend for recent months along with:

    • Cost difference from previous month
    • Percentage increase or decrease

  • Forecasted Spend
    Estimated cost for the ongoing month based on current usage

  • Top Contributors

    • Top Buckets / Resources contributing to cost
    • Top Operations driving usage (e.g., Get, Put, List)

  • Optimization Insight
    Suggests potential cost savings (e.g., moving data to lower-cost storage like Glacier)

  • Service Filters
    Switch between services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.

How to Use​

  • Quickly assess whether a service’s cost is increasing or decreasing
  • Identify top cost-driving resources and operations
  • Use optimization suggestions to take cost-saving actions
  • Click the expand/open icon to view detailed breakdown

Detailed View (Expanded)​

Selecting the expand option opens a detailed Cost Breakup view for the selected service.

This view provides deeper insights such as:

  • Cost distribution across accounts
  • Cost distribution across regions
  • Additional service-level breakdowns
