This section organizes recommendations by service and provides:

  • Total Number of Opportunities identified for cost hygiene improvement.
  • Prevention-focused Suggestions such as cleaning up unused data or reducing configuration overhead.
  • Actions like enabling lifecycle policies, reducing timeout buffers, or cleaning up old resources.

Example: S3 Lifecycle Policy Missing​

Buckets without lifecycle policies tend to accumulate unused or outdated data, which increases storage costs. This recommendation identifies such S3 buckets and advises setting up rules to clean up or transition data over time.

Key points include:

  • Lifecycle policies are not configured.
  • Old and unused data is not deleted or archived automatically.
  • This leads to unnecessary and growing storage costs.
